Design Notes

At first, we wanted to hypothesize which of the two mutations presented in Mutant #6 led to the relative decrease of RFP. However, due to the maximum number of parts we are allowed to order, this experiment was reduced in size focusing only on the change to the base pair located in the RBS sequence.

This part comes from a mutation of the B21 RBS sequence found in A. Malcolm Campbell and Todd T. Eckdahl's paper "rClone Red Facilitates Bacterial Gene Expression Research by Undergraduates in the Teaching Laboratory."
